About SACAI

The South African Comprehensive Assessment Institute (SACAI) is an independent assessment agency in South Africa that provides a range of assessment services to schools and education providers. These services include the development and administration of assessments, moderation, and quality assurance of assessment practices, as well as the issuance of certificates to successful candidates. SACAI is registered with the Department of Basic Education and operates according to national and international quality assurance standards.

 

The South African Comprehensive Assessment Institute (SACAI) was founded in 2008 by a group of educators who were passionate about providing a high-quality and flexible assessment service to schools and education providers in South Africa. SACAI was established in response to a growing need for alternative assessment solutions, particularly for homeschooling and distance education students who were not catered for by the traditional education system.

 

SACAI has since grown to become a leading provider of assessment services in South Africa, with a focus on developing assessments that are relevant, valid, and reliable. SACAI assessments cover a wide range of subjects and levels, from primary school through to adult education and training. The institute has also established partnerships with a number of education providers, both locally and internationally, to enhance its assessment offerings and broaden its reach.
